A Director possesses a keen eye for identifying gaps, problems and solutions within the market they serve.
They use their knowledge to help clients make better decisions, solve complex issues and execute new practices that propel clients’ businesses toward key objectives.
A Director publishes these insights as pragmatic and/or provocative research.
Additionally, they reinforce Gartner’s value every day by engaging clients via in-person and virtual meetings, sales support visits, Gartner conferences and industry events.
What you will do: Deliver impactful insight to guide clients to the best actions for them and their organizations.
40% of your work week will be spent on virtual client calls with a wide variety of companies and governments.
On these calls you will answer questions such as – How do we manage custom ERP extensions using platform as a service (PaaS)? or should we adopt a single- or multiple-vendor ERP strategy? Research, analyze and predict market trends and shifts (15% of work week).
Predict how specific markets are developing, help clients in their selection process and assist vendors in overall positioning Apply critical thinking.
Identify the root cause of a client’s barriers or overall needs and reframe thinking to drive strategy forward Use the research insights gained to create high quality, clear, actionable, “must-have” papers, presentations, and videos (30% of your work week).
