Axiom, the leading provider of on‑demand legal talent globally, is seeking a senior construction and energy lawyer to support a major international energy and infrastructure organisation on a part‑time secondment based in Sydney.
This is a highly visible role working closely with the General Counsel and commercial leadership on contract drafting and negotiation, procurement processes, regulatory compliance and operational legal support across complex projects.
The opportunity would suit an experienced commercial or construction lawyer who enjoys operating in a business‑facing environment with significant stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence project outcomes within a fast‑paced, highly regulated sector.
Advise on procurement, tendering, and multi‑jurisdictional project documentation to support ongoing operational needs.
Requirements: Construction or energy law expertise with demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex commercial, procurement or project agreements.
Stakeholder advisory experience providing clear, practical legal guidance to business teams, project managers and senior leadership.
Regulatory and compliance knowledge relevant to infrastructure, energy, procurement or large‑scale commercial operations.
Matter and workflow management capability including the ability to prioritise competing deadlines and manage multiple active matters.
