Fully remote · European timezones · Reports to VP of ProductAbout TaxDomeMost companies are still debating what AI means for design.
At TaxDome they've already rebuilt everything around it.
This role exists to lead and shape AI native design org.
Here's what that looks like in practice.
Their design system lives in GitHub and acts as the source of truth for AI agents that generate production-ready code.
A designer takes an idea from concept to production after a lightweight engineering check.
They iterate and review against live, production-grade prototypes — not static screenshots.
And nobody here ships isolated features: every designer owns their experience end to end, across their whole domain.
What you'll be responsible forThe design system and AI-native workflows — your primary focus.
You'll own the design system as a product: its roadmap, the bar for new patterns, and how it scales across a complex multi-surface platform.
You'll keep it healthy as the source of truth for the AI pipeline, so new components land in the right place, in the right repository, available to everyone who needs them.
You'll keep AI the default mode of work rather than a side project, push the prototype-to-production loop further than it goes today, and think.
You'll lead roughly 8 senior UX Architects — 4–5 at staff level — each embedded in a product domain.
You'll set growth paths, calibrate quality decisions, set the bar, and unblock staff-level ICs in everything they do.
You'll hire and retain strong people in a market where this profile is still rare.
The trajectory of this team and the work it ships is your primary measure of success.
UX quality and design accountability.
You'll build the processes that make quality non-negotiable — so work arrives at design review fully thought through, and reviews carry real weight rather than becoming a formalit.
