You'll own the technical foundation across iOS, Node.

js backend services, and AWS infrastructure — reporting directly to the Head of Engineering from our New York City office.

What You'll DoLead deep investigations into complex production issues spanning iOS, backend services, and cloud infrastructure.

• Perform root-cause analysis across API layers, async workflows, data models, third-party integrations, and infrastructure.

Improve backend service reliability, correctness, and performance in Node.

js and TypeScript.

Optimize MongoDB queries, indexes, and data access patterns for performance at scale.

Strengthen AWS infrastructure stability across Elastic Beanstalk, EC2, deployments, and monitoring.

Improve observability using structured logging, metrics, and CloudWatch.

Reduce recurring bug classes by improving validation layers, error handling, and system boundaries.

Strengthen CI/CD and release processes to reduce production risk.

Build internal tools and scripts that improve debugging efficiency and engineering velocity.

Partner closely with product and engineering to drive platform-level improvements.

What We're Looking ForRequired:3–7+ years of engineering experience, including time at a startup and exposure to systems at scale.

Strong production debugging.
