the RoleA fast-growing, Series A AI search analytics SaaS company based in Berlin is looking for a Senior Backend Developer to architect and build the systems powering its AI-driven recommendation engine

You'll work at the intersection of scalable infrastructure and cutting-edge AI integrations, collaborating closely with product, data, and frontend teams to ship reliable, high-quality software.

This is a fully on-site role (Berlin office, 5 days/week).

The company operates in the AI/ML space, helping marketing teams track, analyze, and optimize brand performance across AI search platforms.

What You'll DoArchitect and build backend systems that power real-time AI-driven recommendations.

Design, implement, and maintain scalable REST and GraphQL APIs, data pipelines, and database models.

Integrate with AI model APIs (OpenAI, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Llama, and others) to support live recommendation features.

• Develop and maintain automated tests (unit and integration) and CI/CD pipelines to ensure quality and rapid delivery.

Enforce security best practices, authentication/authorization, and data privacy across backend services.

Implement end-to-end changes across backend services with clean, maintainable, well-styled code.

Translate product and data.
