As Senior Mechanical Ground Systems Engineer at the Ground Systems department of Isar Aerospace, you will take part in shaping the development of the Ground Systems infrastructure.

This includes ground equipment such as the Launch Table, Transporter/Erector, and Hold-Down-Release Mechanism as fundamental parts of the Launchpad, but also the design of equipment for Testing Facilities, R&D, qualification and acceptance of propulsion systems and rocket stages.

Your Role in Our Space Mission:

Reporting directly to the Manager, Mechanical Ground Systems the engineer's tasks are focused on but not necessarily limited to:

• Taking responsibility, ownership and accountability for mechanical (sub)systems as part of larger projects
• Managing requirements proactively between stakeholders for own (sub)systems as part of larger projects and defining Engineering Change Requests
• Providing technical guidance to and mentor junior/mid-level mechanical ground systems engineers and advising colleagues on matters of design of mechanical/structural ground systems
• Designing, planning and iterating mechanical and/or structural (sub)systems by means of calculation/CAD tools and numerical simulations 
• Creating manufacturing and integration drawings including BOMs for practically manufacturable (sub)systems
