memodio is a digital health application (DiGA) fighting forgetfulness and dementia 🧠 Our app is prescribed by doctors, fully reimbursed by German statutory health insurance, and recommended by leading medical associations.
In a clinical trial with 140 participants, we showed that it measurably improves memory performance, everyday independence, and quality of life.
More than 10,000 people already trust memodio.
We've been on the market for over five years.
So we have the speed and ownership culture of a startup, without the chaotic early days: a validated product, paying reimbursement partners, and real users who notice when we ship something good.
Now we're growing the engineering team.
Where you sit: anywhere in the world.
We're a small distributed team, not a company with a remote policy bolted on.
The one requirement is overlap: at least four hours of your working day between 09:00 and 18:00 Berlin time, because we solve problems together, not by throwing tickets over a wall.
How you join us: as an employee or as a freelancer, whichever fits your situation better.
Tell us which you'd prefer when you apply.
Tasks Our core product is live and helping thousands of people, but it's far from finished.
A big part of this role is evolving the existing app to better fit the people who actually use it: adults aged 50+, often dealing with early-stage cognitive decline.
Every improvement you make has a direct, visible effect on someone's day.
Beyond the core product we're building new and adjacent products, including ones with AI capabilities.
If working with LLMs excites you, there's real room to shape that.
If it doesn't, that's fine too.
How the role works You won't get finished designs and implementation specs to execute.
You'll get problems, context, and user needs and the freedom to figure out the best solution.
That's deliberate: it's where the creativity and the ownership live.
It also means the job asks you to think.
