Role overview: Own design end-to-end for a core area of the Dispatch platform: the custodian and data workflows at the center of how firms move and manage client data.
You are accountable for the quality of what ships, not just the spec.
From problem decomposition and discovery to defining experience.
You design complex, data-dense UX for financial advisors and the teams who support them, by turning large, messy data into something legible and usable.
Weave new capabilities into existing user-facing workflows so the product stays coherent and scalable as it grows, rather than adding one-off screens.
Shape how product design integrates with engineering & product management through close collaboration, iterative prototyping, and hands-on implementation guidance.
You are a primary contributor to growing and advocating for design as a function at Dispatch, building the foundational structures the practice needs as it scales, starting with the design system.
Experience & Background: 5+ years of experience in product design, UX, or HCI, with a proven ability to execute high-craft, technically informed solutions, and a personal track record of shipping complex work end-to-end.
A portfolio that shows comprehensive ownership, from discovery through shipped features, on real products with real constraints.
Demonstrated experience designing complex, data-dense interfaces or workflow tools, not primarily consumer or marketing work.
Meaningful contribution to a design system: components, patterns, or documentation you have owned, maintained, and championed.
Grounding in facts and principles: you plan and run research and usability testing, and turn what you learn into design decisions.
A track record of communicating the "why" behind design decisions and navigating complex requirements across engineering, product, and business.
Comfort operating in ambi.
