Behind every experiment and every line of control software sits an IT setup that has to work: laptops that are ready on day one, accounts that exist when someone starts, and hardware that is where it should be.
As a Working Student in IT Support & Systems, you will be the first point of contact for colleagues who need IT help.
You handle 1st level support, prepare and hand over equipment, and keep our Microsoft 365 environment and IT documentation in order.
You also support onboarding and offboarding from the IT side, so new colleagues can start working immediately.
This role suits a student who wants real hands on experience with infrastructure and admin tools, and who enjoys helping people as much as fixing systems.
Your responsibilitiesProvide 1st level IT support for employees and troubleshoot common hardware, software and access issuesSupport hardware procurement: ordering, tracking and preparing laptops, monitors and accessoriesManage the equipment lifecycle, from setup for new starters to collection and reset for leaversSupport IT onboarding and offboarding, including accounts, access, devices and the welcome setupHandle day to day Microsoft 365 tasks such as mailboxes, distribution lists and Teams/SharePoint accessKeep IT documentation accurate and up to date, including guides, inventory lists and onboarding checklistsWork with your IT colleagues on more complex issues and escalate when neededWhat you bringEnrolled in an IT related degree program such as Computer Science or Information Systems, any semesterGenuine interest in IT and in how systems and infrastructure workBasic computer literacy with Windows or macOS and solid troubleshooting instinctsAbility to pick up new tools quickly and to ask questions when something is unclearReliable and organized, with clear communication towards colleagues without an IT backgroundNice to haveHobby level experience with Windows or macOS troubleshoot.
