Berlin · Full-time internship · 4–6 months · Start ASAPAbout LimetaxLimetax is building the agentic-first accounting and tax group for German SMEs.
We acquire established accounting and tax advisory firms and onboard them to our proprietary agentic platform, combining deep industry expertise with AI-native technology.
Backed by $40m in equity and debt from top-tier investors, we're building and scaling a new kind of accounting & tax group in Germany.
Our founders bring significant experience across M&A, operations, and AI-native technology, having previously built and scaled unicorns, Razor Group and Augustus.
The RoleAs a Member of Technical Staff (MTS) Intern, you'll join our engineering team to build technology that changes how accounting and tax work gets done.
This is not an internship built around shadowing, isolated exercises, or predefined support tasks.
You'll take end-to-end ownership of a meaningful, clearly scoped technical problem, work alongside experienced engineers, and contribute to systems used in real operational environments.
Depending on your strengths and interests, you may work on applied AI systems, product engineering, data infrastructure, internal tools, or workflow automation.
You'll learn how to move from an ambiguous problem to a reliable production solution — and where speed, technical quality, and domain constraints need to be balanced.
We don't expect you to arrive knowing German tax law.
We do expect you to be curious, technically strong, and excited to understand a complex domain.
What You'll Work OnProduction Engineering.
Design, build, test, and deploy software that supports real accounting and tax workflows.
Build with LLMs, retrieval systems, document intelligence, and agentic workflows while learning where deterministic logic and human oversight are required.
Product Development.
Work closely with engineers, operators, and tax professionals to understand problems, prototype solutions, and iterate based on real-world feedba.
