The Role We are seeking a Controls Engineer (m/f/d) to work on the local controller that runs at the heart of our customers' power plants.
You will design and build the control logic that keeps solar, BESS, and thermal generation assets operating safely and efficiently.
A passion for the energy transition and interest in physical systems behind the code is highly valued.
Tasks What You’ll Do: Design and maintain control algorithms for our Rust-based controller.
Translate control theory and power grid compliance.
Build software interfaces to communicate directly with plant hardware via protocols like Modbus, CAN, and M-Bus.
Requirements What You Bring: Experience in Rust, or strong proficiency in another systems language such as C/C++.
Comfort with concurrent, real-time, programming close to the hardware layer.
Knowledge of, or strong curiosity.
Clear, proactive communication.
Nice to Have: Experience with industrial protocols (Modbus, CAN, M-Bus).
Background in power systems, solar assets, battery energy storage systems (BESS) or similar.
