We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join APEXX’s Legal & Compliance team, providing front-line guidance and support across all areas of the business.
You will work closely with our General Counsel and wider business to support a broad range of commercial and legal matters, gaining significant exposure to the day to day operations of a fast-paced, international FinTech.
This is a generalist role offering a high level of commercial involvement.
WHAT YOU’LL DOING:This is a hands-on, commercially focused role supporting the General Counsel with several key elements including:Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a range of complex commercial agreementsDelivering legal and strategic advice to different areas of the business on a variety of matters ranging from financial regulation and the payments ecosystem, contracts, negotiations, documentation, client issues, employment, compliance, IP, IT, marketing and data protectionSupporting the commercial teams and wider business in discussions with customers, partners and suppliersIdentifying legal and regulatory risks related to the introduction of new products and expansion into new marketsHelping to identify, prepare and deliver training to the business on relevant legal and commercial issuesDelivering continuous improvement in operating practices and processes, identifying inefficiencies and improvementABOUT YOU:You’ve done this before: You’ll be a qualified lawyer with some post qualification experience (1-2+ years PQE) ideally working within Startups, FinTech or Payments.
