We're growing rapidly with enterprise customers across banking and insurance, and we're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join Team Atlas : a small, high-ownership team focused on the data infrastructure powering our feature computation platform.
You'll own critical systems end-to-end, and your decisions will shape the product.
What You'll DoBuild and operate backend services in Python on AWS — Lambda functions, DynamoDB, Aurora, and event-driven pipelines that handle real production traffic.
You'll leverage agentic AI tools as part of your daily workflow.
Tackle hard backend problems — latency, reliability, and scale are everyday concerns.
Make key architectural decisions — you'll have real authority over how things are built, not just what gets built.
Raise the bar for the team through code reviews, mentoring, and improving our development tooling and processes.
Work directly with Product and Design to shape what we build next.
RequirementsAt least 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven track record of leading complex projects in a senior capacity (2+ years).
Deep expertise in Python and building backend systems on cloud platforms (we use AWS).
Strong system design.
You don't need all of them.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to align technical and non-technical stakeholders on a shared vision.
The ability to work in a hybrid model.
