</p> <p><strong>About the role</strong></p> <p>You will lead the team that builds the systems behind our finance and internal operations.
That means billing, invoicing and the internal tools our Operations and Finance teams use every day.
The team is small but has a big impact.
Mistakes here are expensive, so quality and good judgement matter.
</p> <p>You lead the engineers, work closely with the team's Product Manager and report to the Engineering Manager.
You also work directly with senior leadership.
You own the people, the way the team works and the delivery of the roadmap.
You stay close to the code: about 30 to 40% of your time goes to code reviews, technical design and some hands-on work.
</p> <p><strong>What you will do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead and grow your engineers through 1:1s, clear feedback and growth plans</li> <li>Set a clear bar for performance, and act early when someone is not meeting it</li> <li>Own delivery of the team's roadmap and keep progress, risks and blockers visible</li> <li>Plan the roadmap and quarterly goals with Product, Operations and Finance, including what we say no to</li> <li>Run planning, refinement and retros, and represent the team in talks with other teams</li> <li>Keep standards high on code review, testing, monitoring, security and incident follow-up</li> <li>Hire new engineers for your team</li> <li>Set good habits for using AI tools in development</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you bring</strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years as a software engineer, including at least 1 to 2 years managing engineers with direct reports</li> <li>Experience handling performance issues: setting expectations, giving hard feedba.
