Your Mission We are looking for a Software Engineer to join the Train Supply team.
The mission is to scale the current BlaBlaCar train distribution in Europe supporting the expansion of the train supply to new markets and countries.
As a backend developer you will work on technical challenges and product feature development from early-stage conception, to development, testing strategy, deployment, and monitoring of new releases.
BlaBlaCar’s Train GDS stack is a scalable micro service architecture in spring boot 3 started in 2022.
It uses REST API to communicate with other backends services in BlaBlaCar and with the suppliers.
You will be reporting to Solene, the Engineering Manager of the team, and working with a team of 3 other backend engineers.
You will collaborate closely with several engineering teams, data, QA product managers and business developers to build robust and scalable features.
Participating in the whole application lifecycle, meaning : initial discovery, design, development, tests strategy, deployment to production, monitoring, alerting and support Interacting with people with different roles, backgrounds and culture, and share your technical expertise with a mix of technical, product and business experts.
Take the lead on complex projects involving multiple teams from BlaBlaCar in different pillars and external actors.
Cultivate a continuous learning mindset, testing and experimenting new patterns, contributing to elevate the train team engineering standards.
