Senior Category Manager - Strategic Sourcing (Packaging)

<h2><strong>The role</strong></h2> <p>At HelloFresh, our mission is simple: to change the way people eat, forever.

As the Category Manager for Packaging, you will report directly to the Director of Packaging and take full ownership of creating and developing our Primary packaging category (ingredient packaging, plastic film…).

You will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies to improve our cost structure, the quality of our products, and the reliability of our supply chain, while playing a leading role in supporting innovation and new product development.

What you’ll do

• Drive Innovation: Source primary suppliers that can co-create and develop best-in-class primary packaging solutions tailored specifically to our unique business model.
• Data-Driven Execution: Leverage large internal datasets and industry benchmarks (including market, supplier, and SKU analysis) to identify opportunities for cost reduction and implement best practices.
• Develop the Supply Base: Build and maintain a strong pool of primary packaging suppliers capable of providing all of our ingredient packaging requirements, taking full ownership of vendor selection, specs definition, KPIs and relationships.
• Elevate Customer Experience: Work closely with the packaging design team to improve the overall look and feel of our ingredient packaging.

What you’ll bring

• Preferably deep knowledge and interest in food, Ideally working within a similar environment and sector
