This position is remote out of Virginia, but requires occasional travel to Chesapeake or Norfolk, VA, for client meetings and events.

The Structural Engineer will leverage their strong technical background and knowledge to support Military Sealift Command (MSC) engineering and design efforts.

You will help ensure the structural integrity, strength, and stability of diverse marine structures and waterborne vessel hulls to meet critical operational characteristics for naval crafts operating on the sea surface.

Responsabilidades

include but are not limited to: Performing professional architectural, engineering, and scientific work relating to the form, strength, and performance of marine structures Conducting detailed Structural Analyses and Finite Element Analyses (FEA) to evaluate vessel hull integrity and operational safety Developing technical reports and calculations for Weight and Moment, Stability, and Inclining Experiments Executing Hydrostatics and Intact and Damage stability assessments to ensure vessel compliance with maritime standards Managing arrangements for Hull and Deck outfitting, as well as conducting Mooring Studies and Vibration Analyses Performing Material Analyses and Weld and Connection Analy...
