Company Description Join the team redefining how the world experiences design.
Hello, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte! Thanks for stopping by.
We know job descriptions can feel a bit formulaic sometimes, but we promise Canva is anything but.
If you're drawn to what we're building and you see yourself in this role, we'd love to hear from you.
Our flagship office is in Sydney, Australia, but we've made our way from down under, to a hub San Francisco, which is now home to our US operations.
This is a fully remote role based in the US - Los Angeles is strongly preferred so you can overlap with our Sydney-based team during key creative touch points.
You'll be set up to produce content independently from home, and Canva provides all the gear you need to do your best work.
We offer flexibility in how and where you work, we trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.
What you’d be doing in this role As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA.
But we like to think that's all part of the fun.
So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.
This isn't a traditional videographer role.
Think less "receives a brief, shoots, delivers back" and more creative collaborator who also happens to be great with a camera (or a phone).
You'll be embedded in Canva's organic social team - the people behind @Canva on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn - helping to build Canva's presence in the US at the speed of culture.
At the moment, this role is focused on: Shooting and editing social-first content, primarily on iPhone - fast, reactive, and built for TikTok and Instagram Concepting original ideas and bringing them to the table, not just executing briefs Monitoring US trends, pop culture, and breaking moment.
